Osteoporose
Als Osteoporose bezeichnet man eine das Skelettsystem betreffende Erkrankung, die durch eine gestörte Remodellierung der Knochensubstanz und eine dadurch bedingte pathologische Mikroarchitektur der Knochen gekennzeichnet ist.
Die verminderte Knochendichte bei Osteoporose führt schließlich zu einer teilweise massiv gesteigerten Frakturgefährdung.
